Police Arrest Top Movie Actress...For Swindling Kumasi Hotel

The receptionists of a hotel located at the Santasi Roundabout in Kumasi counted themselves very lucky recently when a well known actress in the Garden city (name withheld) checked into one of the rooms.

This was after she had told the hotel staff that they were about to shoot a new movie and that her director had asked her to stay there for some days.

Moments after the said lady had settled, she allegedly notified the staff that she was expecting a male visitor. True to her expectation, in no time, another known actor (name withheld) emerged at the reception and was subsequently ushered into her room.

Thus for two days, the two film stars believed to be lovers were allegedly offered exquisite VIP treatment by the hotel staff due to their status in the movie industry. However, the actor reportedly left after two days whilst the actress stayed on for two more days. However when it was finally time for her to check out of the room, the actress told the hotel staff that she had run out of cash and that she would return in no time to settle her indebtedness, a request which was easily granted.

Unfortunately, that was the last time the staff set eyes on the film star. P&P gathered that when the receptionist managed to get her phone number and reached her, she allegedly denied ever checking into the hotel and said the person who might have come to the hotel was her twin sister.

Bent on collecting their money at all cost, the authorities of the hotel allegedly lodged a complaint with the Police which moved in to arrest her.

It is alleged that she admitted the offence in their cautioned statements to the Police and has since paid Two Hundred out of the Four Hundred cedis owed the hotel.
