Who runs Facebook?

Ghana’s online community on the hit global social network, FaceBook is fast growing. Every other day, new friendships are forged and new opportunities in marketing are availed. Like most other communities, people come together every now and then to celebrate and what better time to meet, greet and have fun than during the Christmas season.

Earlier this year Ghanaian members of the Facebook community got down rocking during the ‘iRun Facebook 1.0’ party at the Basement Nightclub. The party went so well that the organizer, Nana Yaw Boakye decided to hold a Christmas edition dubbed ‘iRun Facebook 1.5’ on Boxing Day, Friday 26 at the Heaven Niteclub in Osu, Accra. This time it’s going to be even bigger and better as Ghanaians from the Diaspora come home to rock Xmas with family and friends. It’s time to meet the personalities behind the photos, pokes, comments, groups, marketplace, friend invites, status updates and everything Facebook. Music would be provided by some of the best DJs in Accra, including The Lick, Dj Mensa, Dj Snoop, Dj Armani and Teflon Don. There will also be Guest Appearance by R2bees, Veeda, Bradez, Richie, Okyeame Kwame, Quata, Mobile Boys and Pope Skinnie.

The Facebook festivities don’t end there; there is also the "Facebook End of Year Pool Party" at the Coconut Groove Regency Hotel on Sunday 28 and an after party at Cinderella’s nightclub. Music will be provided by His Blackness...DJ Black with performances from Asem, Praye and Kwaw Kesse.
