Greater Accra Crowned Country's Most Beautiful

On Sunday the hullabaloo, on who takes the crown for the Ghana's most beautiful pageant, came to end, when Adoley, this year's Greater Accra delegate of Ghana's Most Beautiful, was crowned winner of the cultural reality show, succeeding Ama, who won the maiden edition last year.

Born and bred by deaf and dumb parents, last Sunday the 23-year-old, proved to all present at the final event that among the four remaining contestants, vying for the crown, none deserved it more than she.

It all began with comments and answering of questions from judges Linda Ampah, Nana Abena Efia and S.F. Adjei, although Efo Mawugbe was missing in action at the final event, he was not the point questions, to the contestants.

Not only did Adoley take the crown, she also manage to grab for herself, a Tata Safari 4x4 vehicle, which she would use as a ceremonial car; a brand new Tata Indigo saloon car for her personal use, and a cool GH¢3,000 cash.

She also had in addition, a year's wardrobe from Awo's Boutique, a mobile phone from Onetouch, jewelry and souvenirs from sponsors.

One thing the Volta Regional contestant, Eyram, was able to achieve, was to retain the place of her forerunner, Esi, as the first runner up, attracting GH ¢6,000, with some other souvenirs from sponsors. She also won the best skin of the pageant award.

Though Fanny could not retain the position won by her predecessor, Ama, she came out as the second runner up, taking home GH¢4,000.

Usually described as the youngest among all the contestants, Ruweida did her best, but came fourth, despite all her efforts to beat the oldies at the game, she still could not keep up with the pace, and had to settle for ¢2,000, and some souvenirs from sponsors.
