Television Presenter and Producer Ama K. Abebrese who also double as a Child Safety Icon for Safe Child Ghana, an NGO which help prevents injury, protects children and promotes child development through empowerment, advocacy and education to achieve behavioural change, has called on parents/guardians, the public and all stakeholders to help improve the safety of Ghanaian children.

Award-Winning Actress, Ama K. Abebrese in an interview with Freda Owusuaah-Bioh on J.life FM's Working Rhythms (Mid-Morning Show) said most children in Ghana are seriously at risk of getting injured or perishing from certain simple safety loopholes that have been left unattended to.

She was optimistic that, the safety of Ghanaian Children can be improved.

"It's not a one man thing, it's fairly not just a one charity thing, and it’s definitely all of us. We hear horry stories a lot of times when I talk to the NGO who run Safe Child Ghana, they go to communities where children are affected or in trouble to provide aid, but I think we can do better if we all come on-board."

Premiering of Double Cross in Sunyani

"The reception of the premiering of Double Cross was beautiful, it was wonderful, officially that was my first time in Sunyani, I love the environment, the people, and you guys don't have dumsor which clearly we are suffering from here in Accra.

And one thing I loved being there and just seeing the environment because at the end of time, If wasn't for my work, I wouldn't get to probably travel to many places and Sunyani is one of the places where I've been, I went there and say like wow, the reception was great, I have to come back often it’s just that this job tends to keep me concentrating in Accra," she explained.

Ama who has been in the industry for about 15 years now have about 5 and 3 yet to be release projects which are coming out this year.

Speaking on challenges in the industry;

"I have been very blessed, I came to this country with obviously having some experience under my belt and it's been wonderful for me, obviously some of the roles I would like to get are not readily available but to be honest, I'm a working actor and always have to be thankful that I'm able to have work to do, so I have few complaints."
