Gifty and Doreen have been evicted from the ongoing contest in search of a Miss Malaika 2015 queen, leaving 14 others to compete for the car, cash, crown and scholarship.

Gifty and Doreen were dropped after the initial two tasks for the contestants were completed. The two tasks showed two interesting sides of the contestants.

The first task—the charity task—showed all audience that the contestants were not just interested in the car, the cash, scholarship and the crown. When they teamed up in groups to help pay the bills of babies and offer health screening for head porters, they demonstrated the Miss Malaika theme of “beautiful inside out” to the letter.

The cultural task, on the other hand, showed them as unifiers as they demonstrated how the diverse cultures in Ghana can unite the country as one happy nation.

The two tasks meant that the dreaded eviction was close by and indeed it was. The Roman Holiday Restaurant was the venue for the first Malaika 2015 evictions.

Karen, Kezia, Gifty and Doreen were sadly the bottom four. Unfortunately for Gifty and Doreen, they had to be evicted from the competition.

Though it was sad to see Gifty and Doreen leave the competition, evictions are part of reality shows and fans can only ensure their favourite contestants remain in the competition by texting their names to 1757 on all networks.
