Son remanded in custody for threatening to kill father

Asamankese (E/R), July 22, GNA- Imoro Isaka, a 28-year-old corn miller, has appeared before the Asamankese Circuit Court charged with threatening to kill his father, Seidu Isaka with a knife. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to re-appear on August 1. Police Inspector J.F. Idan, told the court that Isaka on July 12 entered the workshop of a carpenter, Mr Kofi Mensah, to harass him. The carpenter appealed to the accused person's father to ask his son to leave the workshop but when the father tried to intervene the son pulled a knife and threatened to kill him.

The father ran into a nearby Mosque and stayed there for about four hours. When he emerged from the mosque the accused threatened him for the second time with death. Some young men disarmed him and sent him to the police station, the prosecution said.
