Sarkodie’s ‘New Guy’ video didn't live up to expectation' - Nana Asihene

Ghanaian video director, Nana Asihene has revealed Sarkodie's highly anticipated #NewGuy video did not meet expectation after several weeks of media hype and Twitter trends.

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie featured American rapper, Acehood, who was paid $25k for the collaboration.

Nana Asihene said, “First time I watched it, I was like okay. Two weeks later, I watched it again and … I watched it again on Trace. I caught it again like two minutes later on MTVBase.

“Now after watching it again, I liked the video, I don’t love it but I like it. I think it’s a good video but it could have been better,” Asihene told Jay Foley and Jeremie in an interview on Live FM.

The video shot by South African video director, Justin Campos had mixed reviews from the Ghanaian audience when it was first released over a month ago.

The video was released on June 14, 2015.
