"Project Fame" to Replace 'Big Brother Africa'

Over the last few months, the organizers of Big Brother Africa have been overwhelmed by questions as to whether MNET will be organizing another Big Brother Africa this year, and even though the answer is NO, MNET is organizing a reality Programme similar to Big Bother Africa.

Project Fame, as the name goes, is the right entertaining Programme to replace Big Brother Africa which is best described as "Big Brother meets idols" It is a search for an African music superstar, a person who can not only sing but also perform and play musical instrument as well.

This time, 16 contestants (10 from South Africa and 6 from other African countries) where the 6 contestants will be chosen from the other African countries which includes Malawi, Ghana, Kenya Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe.

The contestants will enter an Academy where they would be taught how to hone their talents (that is, when that contestant qualifies) The Programme would last for 13 weeks commencing on the 26th of May and ending on 29th of August.

Every Sunday, the contestants will perform together and as it was in Big Brother Africa, the worst performers will be voted out by the public.

Ultimately the project Fame winner will win a musical recording contract in Johannesburg and a VIP music life style.
