Presbyterian University student wins beauty contest

Akropong Akuapem, Nov. 11, GNA - Miss Bernice Antwi Anagyei, 18-year-old first year student of the Presbyterian University College, Akuapem Campus, was at weekend crowned Miss Akwaaba of the University at Akropong.

She emerged winner from a field of seven contestants, selected from the first year students of the University to contest the pageant as part of activities marking the Akwaaba Night celebration to welcome fresh students into the university community.

The first and second runners up position went to Miss Elaine Dede Tsako Ayisa and Miss Jamila Melisa Kadi respectively. The contestants took part in traditional dance, show casing of various talents and answering questions from three judges. Seven ladies took part in the competition, which was held at the premises of the University and highly attended by students, lecturers and the general public.

Miss Antwi Anagyei thanked the School Representative Council, for organizing the programme to initiate new students into the college, and promised to mobilize students for environmental protection campaign. 11 Nov. 10
