Nana Yaa Yeboaa hosts Akrade Literary Festival

On April 15th 2017, the first ever literary festival in the Asuagyaman district of the Eastern Region will be held at the new Akrade Community Center.

This event is presented to the community by PHILJOE MULTIMEDIA (creativity and imagination) and hosted by Nana Yaa Yeboaa and supported by Oswald Okaitei.

The vision of the festival is to encourage the youth in exploring their creative potential and developing them, therefore the festival offers a stage for that contact and exploration and bringing seasoned and new artist, authors, storytellers, poets, cultural enthusiast together.

In attendance will be youth from surrounding areas versed in traditional arts and culture and the new generation of Ghanaian literary giants such as Nana Asaase, Sylvanus Bedraz, Oswald Okaitei will also lend their support and perform on stage with Nana Yaa Yeboaa, the Canada based Ghanaian poet, spoken word artist, and author. The day will also see emerging reggae artists Banton King and King Azila and DJ Selector Dubwise in their best.

The festival will be graced by prominent personalities such as the Queen mother Of Akrade traditional area, the Odikro and District Commissioner of the area etc. The event will occur between the hours of 1 pm to 6 pm and is based on the theme, ‘vision, intuition and creativity’.
