Miss World delegates visit Hindu Mother Temple of Besakih

Delegates of this year's Miss World pageant including Ghana's Naa Oakiley Shooter have visited one of Indonesia's most patronized tourist sites, the Mother Temple of Besakih, also known as Pura Besakih.

The temple is in the east of Bali, Indonesia, and on the slopes of Mount Agung. It sits at some 3140m, and is the highest volcano on the Island.

It is seen as the most important Hindu Temple on the Islands, and one of the oldest Pyramids of Hindu influence.

The contestants were taken on a tour of the facility, and were also 'blessed' by the priests, after which they were allowed to explore the grounds on their own.

All contestants were given the chance to see the temple, and were later split into two, one group to the Pura Besakih, and the other, to the Rudana Gallery.
