Miss Heritage 2014 thanks Rebecca Agroh Foundation

Ghana’s representative to the Miss Heritage Pageant Zina Asiedu has commended the Rebecca Agroh Foundation and Mcottley in Tamale for the support they offered during the “Ebola Sensitisation Tour” in the northern city.
She hinted that the campaign to let many people know about the deadly disease and how it is transmitted was very successful.
“I was really impressed and I appreciate the work of the Rebecca Agroh Foundation towards the project. People have come to know about the epidemic and I believe the educational tour of Tamale was impressive” she told yours truly.
According to Miss Heritage Ghana she specially decided to speak on Ebola because it is an international problem and West Africa has been mentioned, with over 2000 deaths reported in three countries of Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.
The Salaga native who claims to be a proud Gonja said as part of her queenly duties, she wants to embark on the project to campaign along the border towns of Ghana to let people get the knowledge and wisdom of preservation than waiting to contract the disease before looking for its cure.
Zina Asiedu commended the media especially GhanaWeb.com for supporting in the spread of her message and urged Ghanaians to vote for her on Facebook to attract more votes for the Miss Heritage competition.
The “Ebola Sensitisation Project” by Miss Heritage Ghana is expected to take her to major border towns and selected schools. She noted that the future belongs to the kids and youth, so it is important that they know about current issues.
She acknowledged the efforts of the President of Ghana HE John Dramani Mahama in fighting the Ebola problem and the World Health Organisation (WHO) and UNESCO for training medical personnel and putting in everything to save the countries affected.
The Miss Heritage Pageant comes of in South Africa in December.
