Malta Guinness Street Dance Crews Arrive

The much-awaited Malta Guinness Street Dance crews from East and West Africa arrived in Ghana on Wednesday 6th October 2010.

Extreme Fusion from Cameroon, Sisko from Kenya, X Fellaz from Nigeria, and Best Friends from Tanzania will compete against Ghana’s representatives, High Spirits Dance Crew at the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday 15th October 2010 for the grand prize of $35,000 at stake and the honourable title of Pan African Champions.

Excitement is building up as these Pan African dance crews have gone into a boot camp where they are being tried and tested against the best.

They will face special challenges, work with top international choreographers and show off their skills in front of an industry panel of expert judges.

The boot camp experience will be packaged into a 6-part reality TV series and broadcast across the continent later this year. It will showcase the talent and stories of the crews as they dance to the top of the world on a journey of a lifetime.

During this thrilling, once in a lifetime opportunity, the crews will be dancing their hearts out to impress a top class international judging panel, headed by performer and choreographer, Glenn Ball from the United Dance Organisation, with R&B star, Michael Ross and TV presenter and expert dancer, Prudence Maidou, by his side.

Speaking at a Press conference to announce the arrival of the dance crews on Thursday 7th October, 2010 at the Travel Xpress Hotel in Accra, Ama Okyere, Marketing Director, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited, commented, “Excitement is definitely building as we get closer and closer to the start of the final

I know that the Ghanaian team has been spending every spare minute preparing for this and I’m certain that the other teams are showing the same level of determination.

“We have some incredibly talented industry experts lined up to work with the finalists. Everything is set for a fantastic show and we can’t wait to see all of the dance crews in action.

I think it’s going to be a tough competition as the various dance crews have come into the country with some exceptional talents. “This is really great; bringing together Africans to showcase the best of our talent. In GGBL, we pride ourselves in providing these great and rewarding experiences for all.”
