Award winning Entertainment Show Host, Agyemang Prempeh has chronicled his 15 years radio experience and how he got employed at Rainbow Radio 87.FM.

The renowned entertainment show host, who was surprised by the General Overseer of Glorious Wave International Prophet Badu Kobi, some gospel musicians, celebrity and entertainment bloggers on his show Saturday, gave a detailed account of his experience as a radio host.

Hosted by George Quaye, Agyemang Prempeh took listeners through the circumstances that brought him to Rainbow Radio.

The host had asked Mr. Prempeh why he refused to accept an offer from EIB network when he was approached by Bola Ray.

Rumours were rife that Bola Ray attempted poaching Agyemang Prempeh but he turned down the offer to leave Rainbow Radio where he has carve a niche for himself.

Agyemang Prempeh in his answer said, he may not have the evidence to support claims that he was poached should he be asked to do so but George Quaye pushed him and asked why he refused to leave Rainbow Radio.

He told the host that his loyalty and circumstances that made him get a job at Rainbow Radio did not allow him to leave.

According to him, he walked to the office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rainbow Radio, and begged him to offer him an opportunity to work for him since he was a good material.

He revealed, the CEO was at time reluctant until popular minister of the gospel, Jesus Abrantie convinced him (CEO) to give him the job and will never regret doing do so.

He further revealed that, the CEO did his background investigation and finally gave him the job to work for him and the rest has been history. Agyemang Prempeh stressed that, my loyalty to the CEO is what prevented me from leaving.

I cannot break that loyalty, he said. He added, I left Channel R when I had no other job.

It got to a time I had nothing on me. Not even fifty pesewas to buy even gari.

He was further asked if that affected his relationship with Quophi Okyeame and why he stopped hosting the mid-morning show and in his response, he said, it did not affect his relationship and the decision to allow a female to host the mid-morning was a management decision.

‘’I walked into my CEO’s office and begged him to employ me because I was competent and apt for the job but he was reluctant. So it took Jesus Abrantie to convince him to employ me. So that circumstance that made me get the job makes it difficult for me to leave Rainbow Radio. That is loyalty. The decision to allow a female host the mid-morning show was a management decision. We had agreed that because there was a trend where females were hosting the mid-morning shows on some radio stations, we [Rainbow Radio] should give it a try, and so it had nothing to do with it nor did it affect my relationship with Quophi Okyeame.''

He concluded that the attempt to poach him came several quarters and not only Rainbow Radio.
