It’s been almost a week now since Kumawood actor Ebenezer Yaw Donkor popularly known as Katawere died. The veteran actor is reported to have died in his sleep at the age of 78.

Katawere died in the early hours of Monday November 14, 2016.

According to his wife Beatrice Boatemaa, Katawere died from Kidney failure.

She said ‘my late husband underwent urinal operation last year at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital so he was undergoing medical check-ups every two weeks at Dr.Opoku’s hospital at Dansoman before six months ago doctors told me my late husband was battling kidney failure.”



Prior to his demise however, Katawere made some interesting revelations in his last television interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay show. In the interview, the veteran actor makes a number of pronouncements with one suggesting an imminent end to the acting careers of Kumawood stars Liwyn, Agya Koo and Kwaku Manu.
