Laity Singers Launch First Album.

Elubo (W/R) Oct 9, GNA - Pastor Jona Antwi, Half-Assini District Pastor of the Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) Church, has advised musicians not to underestimate the power of music in the life a society and the individual.

He said music had played and would continue to play vital role in the way a nation and her people related to God to determine their overall spiritual, physical economic and social well-being.

Pastor Antwi was launching a cassette album by the Laity Singers of the SDA with the title 'Atemmuo' at Elubo in the Jomoro District. He, therefore, called on Christian parents to be very selective in their choice of music for the family since this could have positive or negative effect on its life.

Mr Emmanuel Amihere, Leader of the Laity Singers, said in an interview with the GNA that the album the first to be produced by the group, had 10 songs whose lyrics were based on the Scriptures and was produced by Mr Eric Mensah of Elubo.

Mr Mensah urged Christian musicians to invest in gospel music to win more souls for Christ. The first copy of the album was sold for one million cedis.
