LG promises more support for Miss Ghana

Somotex Ghana Limited, a subsidiary of the Poly Group of Companies and the official distributor of the internationally acclaimed LG brand of products in Ghana, has promised its continued support for the Miss Ghana beauty pageant competition. Pallav Rastoji, Marketing Manager of Somotex has said the Miss Ghana brand will continue to enjoy massive support and endorsement from his outfit in the coming years. The gesture he said, forms part of Somotex’s corporate social responsibility towards building a strong entertainment industry in the country and LG’s way of making a national heritage, grow. “We are committed to supporting the Miss Ghana brand because of what it stands for. LG is proud to be associated with the event and can only hope for the best in the coming years. Over the years, as part of our corporate social responsibility, we’ve supported the event in numerous ways and this year, too, we hope to do same,” he said. With the 2011 edition almost set to launch soon, the Miss Ghana event, year in and out, continues to enjoy massive endorsement from Ghana’s corporate community. In its 54th year, the event over the years, has built for itself, a huge reputation most corporate bodies have come to identify with and appreciate. LG, the world’s leading household name for domestic and industrial appliances, is one of such brands that keep coming back every edition to support. Last year, all 20 contestants of the Miss Ghana competition were presented with LG products worth thousands of Ghana cedi, with the top three winners receiving mouth watering home appliances. With LG set to come on board once more, the 2011 Miss Ghana beauty pageant competition can only get bigger and better.
