Kufuor’s son joins Iroko TV Web Series

Director, Leila Djansi, has finally announced the main cast for the new web series, Poison Bait, which she is directing for Iroko TV, and former President Kufuor’s son, Edward Agyekum Kufuor’s name has popped up in the cast.

Edward, who has already featured in a few Ghanaian movies, has a great passion for acting.

Though details about his role in the series are yet to be made public, Leila confirmed she is working with him on the project. Photos from the set captured him playing with some child-actors and actress Mary Remmy Njuko.

Meanwhile young Ghanaian actress, Marie Humbert, is leading the main cast for the series.

The 2014 African Movie Academy Awards supporting actress nominee is playing alongside celebrated names such as Adjetey Anang, Mary Remmy Njoku, Gideon Okeke, John Dumelo, Ama K. Abebrese, Naa Ashorkor Mensah, Grace Omaboe, aka Maame Dokono, Edward Agyekum Kufuor and a host of others.

Poisoned Bait is led by Marie Humbert, who plays Ariel, a literary agent, and her client, Betty, (Marry Remmy Njoku) whose book on marriage is juxtaposed with her marriage and Ariel’s marriage to Henry (Adjetey Anang), a marriage which is threatened by the presence of her ex, Bernard (Gideon Okeke).
