Knii Lante gets three nominations @ 2013 VGMA

Knii Lante’s House of Pain single has been nominated for three awards in the 2013 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) slated for March 13 this year.

The song is in the running for the Reggae Dancehall song of the year, Record of the year and Best Male vocal performance of the year awards at this year’s prestigious awards event.

‘House of pain’ is a soulful lovers’ rock precursor to Knii Lante’s forthcoming full reggae album set to be released internationally by summer of 2013.

Since its release in 2012, House of Pain has received a lot of reviews and topped various reggae chats in Ghana and around the world. The reggae classic has been tipped by music pundits to be in good position to win all three nominations.

The 2010 best male vocal of the year award winner in an interview said, "This is a big surprise to me and it is a confirmation of the fact that Ghanaians appreciate good music no matter what genre".

“I feel good really; it is a sign of what the album will do when finally released sometime this year...I will encourage everyone to vote so we can make history together,” he said.
