Invest in Theater Arts - Ambassador Koomson

Former Ghanaian ambassador to the United States, Ambassador Kobby Koomson has called on corporate organizations to support the theatre industry in Ghana. Speaking in an interview after watching MEN RUN WOMEN CRY, the former statesman, who evidently had enjoyed the production, made a personal appeal to corporate industries, especially the foreign organizations in Ghana to support the efforts of Uncle Ebo Whyte and Roverman Productions.

He cited examples of places in the world which have become famous and tourist attractions because of their contribution to their film and theater industry. “This is an excellent form of entertainment”, he said.

Speaking on the play in itself he had this to say, “this is the second time I’m coming to watch Ebo’s (Whyte) production. I was expecting something funny, it was funnier. Then it also has a very strong message which I believe is relevant today.”

MEN RUN WOMEN CRY will be shown on the 19th of October, 2013 at the Akroma Plaza in Takoradi and on the 26th of October at the new CCB auditorium in Kumasi.
