I will not mount any political platform – Maccasio

Maccasio Maccasio

Tamale- based rapper Sherif Abdul- Majeed, better known by his stage-name Maccasio, as he preps up for the Yendi leg of a series of peace concerts, has emphasized his intention to stay clear of any political platform in the build-up to the December 7 elections.

He maintains that while some people have pinned him to a particular political faction, he hold no intention to perform for, nor campaign for any political party.

Maccasio, who has grown to become a house-hold name in Northern Ghana, and hence been approached by key political parties to help them with campaign activities, submits that his team consists of people from various political parties. This, to him, makes it irresponsible for him to be seen to publicly back one political party.

“I don’t’ want to have problems with anyone. Rather, I prefer to be seen as a peace ambassador for the north.”

Signed to Zola Music and recently collaborating with Shatta Wale and Kofi Kinaata, Maccasio’s Yendi peace concert is slated for October 1.
