Mujahid Ahmed Bello known in showbiz as Fancy Gadam a Tamale-based Hiplife Musician has expressed his condolences to the bereaved families of 9 victims of last Thursday’s stampede at Asawase in the Ashanti Region.

In a release issued and signed by him on Sunday, he said he is shocked over the incident especially when he was the Guest Artiste of the event and also prays for the full recovery of all injured persons.

According to him, he is traumatized over the incident which has affected him physically, emotionally and psychologically.

“It is disheartening such an unfortunate incident occurred especially when we had just finished a well-patronized event with me as the Guest Artiste. Ever since the incident, I have been distraught and it has affected me physically, emotionally and psychologically. While few lessons have been drawn from the incident, I am completely destabilized that precious lives could be lost within the snap of a finger.

We had just finished yet another successful program which attracted a very high patronage. In their rush to leave the venue coupled with the power outage, it resulted in the stampede in view of their large numbers.

I wish the deceased persons a peaceful repose and I wish to commend various stakeholders in the Ashanti Region who came to the rescue of the injured. May God Bless them and May we work more united for the betterment of Ghana our beloved country”, he stated.
