'I'm not bothered' - Strongman on 5 consecutive TGMA snubs

Ghanaian rapper Osei Kwaku Vincent, aka Strongman, has said he is no longer bothered about being snubbed for Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) after five years of being nominated with no wins.

Strongman, who is currently nominated for the Best Rap Performance category at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, has also had four consecutive Best Rapper nominations in the scheme.

Despite this impressive streak, he has yet to win the award.

Speaking in a recent interview on Joy Prime, Strongman shared his thoughts on the nominations, stating that while he used to be affected by not winning, he no longer lets it bother him.

He described his mindset as "hardened" and compared it to cement, stating that he does not let the situation get to him.

"In five years, I have had five best rapper nominations. I'm the only rapper in Ghana who has had five best rapper nominations in five years. And the funny aspect is, I've not been able to pick any of the awards.

"I'm not that bothered. I used to get bothered, but right now, I am hardened. My mind is caked like cement," he said.
