I have no beef with Charter House - KOD

News has started circulating that one of Ghana’s finest Mcs and presenter, Kofi Okyere Darko popularly known as KOD is having some rift of a sort with event organizers, Charterhouse and it seems the news has gotten to KOD and he deems it fit to react.

According to KOD, reports that he’s jealous of Charterhouse is not true and that he’s just laughing at those ignorant people because they don’t know his relationship with Charterhouse.

He revealed how it all started between him and Charterhouse, and also indicated that he didn’t make it to this year’s VGMA's not because of any rumoured rift but because he had been invited by Otumfour to host his daughter's wedding in Kumasi on the same VGMA's day.

I've had a number of messages pointing to the fact that I'm jealous of Charter House, I laughed because those ignorant people don't even know the relationship I have with that organisation.

I'm happy to say I was part of the dream team that saw the birth of Ghana Music Awards in 1999, I served on the Selection & Planning Committees for about 13 years besides being the host of the GMA Countdown after Kwami Sefa Kayi, 5 time host of the launch and later hosting the main event twice.

Before times revolved for them to have a PR person, I was one of those who spoke on everything Ghana Music Awards in the media. Charter House put me on TV first.

Iyiola Ayoade who is the Chairman of the group is the godfather of my daughter Ohemaa and one of two people I consult besides my late father and Charles Mensa on any move I make both domestically and in my career.

These exclude other events I've worked on for CH...like Hosting Spacefon Legends Nite, Miss Malaika, producing Hanging Out With KOD for GHOne TV, producing and putting my annual fashion show Rhythmz On Da Runway on TV from their studios free of charge among countless event partnerships...

The reason I did not attend Ghana Music Awards this year was because I had been invited by Otumfour to host his daughter's wedding in Kumasi. Full stop. Last Sunday, I hosted James Gardener and Kwabena Kwabena on ?#?360Live(Live FM) to look at this year's event, award winners & Ghana Music Awards in retrospect.

I disagreed with Kwabena Kwabena on countless issues but hey, he has his opinions too and I respect them...I wonder why people are being judgmental without knowing the facts...
