I have never mimed during any performance – Stonebwouy

Nominee for Best Live Act at the just ended 2016 MTV MAMA held at the TicketPro Dome in Johannesburg, South Africa, Stonebwoy Burniton has revealed why his nomination did not come to him as a surprise and was well deserved.

Speaking to MTV Base VJ, Ehiz Okoeguale, during the red carpet interview, an elated Stonebwoy stated he’s never mimed during any of his performances and so found it well deserved. “When I heard the best live act, I knew that yeah, that category alone because when it comes to performance, I’ve never mimed in my life as I talk. Any show you’ve seen before, anyhow, anywhere, is a live mic and live voice so if I get a nominated for a category like this, it makes me happy”, he said.

Stonebwoy was one of the performers on the night.

He however lost out on the award to South African indie artist Cassper Nyovest.
