I don’t see Nigerian artistes as a threat – Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale has said even though hard work and good branding are the trademarks of most Nigerian artistes, the influx of their music in the country does not speak well of music industry in Ghana.

Despite the above claim, the Dancehall artiste stated he is nevertheless threatened nor intimidated by the Nigerian entertainment crooners in an interview with Vibes in 5.

“Most of the Nigerian artistes respect me a lot…They know how business minded I am. They know how talented I am,” he averred.

The Ghana Music Industry, undeniably has a long way to go, according to critics who believe that visibility to the world scene can be facilitated and brought into reality by many artistes determined to work together to make it happen.

Among such artistes is Shatta Wale who renowned artiste, Willi Roi, likened him to be the ‘Jesus Christ’ of the industry.

The Dancehall artiste believed there is an urgent need for musicians in Ghana to be united.

According to him, he is resilient and ready to fight for the Ghanaian music industry to gain recognition in Africa and the world.

To champion this course, Shatta Wale disclosed in an interview with Vibes in 5 that he has spoken to a couple of colleagues including Obrafuour, KK Fosu, Tinny, Samini, Sarkodie to promote the Ghanaian music brand.
