Gospel songs must be beneficial to the sick and needy -Pastor

Effiakuma (W/R), Sept 19, GNA - A reverend minister has appealed to gospel musicians and Christian singing groups to make their ministry meet the needs of the sick, needy and the nation. The Rev Thomas E. N. Ansah, the Minister in Charge of the Christ The King Methodist Church at Anaji Estates, said this at the 49th anniversary thanksgiving service of the Dunwell Methodist Church Choir at Effiakuma on Sunday.

It was on the theme "The Challenges of a Chorister in an Indiscipline World: The way forward".

Rev Ansah told the groups to make their music reflect in their lifestyle and serve as role models for the youth. Rev Ansah asked them to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to enable them to benefit from the health packages when the scheme takes off.
