Gospel music is currently being played at parties and funerals because of its infusion with R&B/dance beats and the inspiring lyrics associated with them. The person leading the wave and whose music is the most, well requested and frequently played worldwide is the ?Mehuri So Man? ; Prophet Seth Frimpong. Dr. Kwabena Darko and others have arrived in USA, for the Ghana Gospelfest 2004 hosted by the Africa Vista Foundation in conjunction with Africanspice.com.

The event is being brought to you by Mr. Solomon Krow (NJ), Kofi Bawuah (NJ) and Alhaji Issifu Braimah (GH) in conjunction with Africa Vista Foundation and Original Black Entertainment Television, UK (OBETV - UK).

The theme for this year?s Ghana Gospel Fest is ?Building a stronger and caring community through Gospel Music.?

Among the gospel artistes to be featured are: Yaw Sarpong, Vikki Mensa-Bonsu, Suzzie & Matt, Felicity Amoah & Joe Mens, Rev. Les Tex and many more surprises backed by the internationally renowned live band; Judgement Day Band led by Joe Mens. The invited featured speakers are the world renowned Rev. Dr. Kwabena Darko of Darko Farms fame and Rev. Owusu-Ansah of Adom FM, Tema

The Gospel Fest will be held in October 2004 in four major states:

? Newark Symphony Hall, Newark, NJ - (October 16, 2004) ? Heavenly Care Academy, Columbus, Ohio - (October 23, 2004) ? Worcester Centrum Center, Worcester, MA - (October 30, 2004.) ? Armenian Hall, New York, New York. - (November 6, 2004)

Mr. Krow and Mr. Bawuah, the two New Jersey based world class promoters are known for bringing music superstar; Kojo Antwi to perform in New Jersey for first time in August 2003 and this event has gone down in New Jersey?s history as the first and most well attended Ghanaian concert at the Newark Symphony Hall which hosts Rap and R&B superstars; Gerald Levert, Patti Labelle, Kirk Franklin and many others.

All net proceeds and donations will be used to rehabilitate the Women and Children?s Maternity Ward at Korle-Bu Hospital, Accra, Ghana.
