Ghana meets Naija: Watch highlights from LilWin's 'A Country Called Ghana' movie premiere

Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, premiered his much-anticipated movie "A Country Called Ghana" at the National Theatre on May 17, 2024.

The event attracted a substantial crowd, including notable personalities from the entertainment industry and enthusiastic fans.

The film, featuring top Nigerian actors Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum, and Victor Osuagwu, has been a topic of discussion among entertainment pundits.

From videos reviewed by GhanaWeb, the premiere was a success. Hundreds of Ghanaians showed up to support LilWin, filling the National Theatre and leaving positive reviews afterwards.

Several musicians and actors, including Medikal, Kalybos and Ahoufe Patricia graced the event.

There was also a good number of Nigerian actors who played roles in the movie at the event.

The movie talks about Ghana's invasion by the colonial masters and their decision to undermine the country's cultural heritage.

The movie according to LilWin, will soon be aired on Netflix considering the quality of the storyline and the actors featured.

The star-studded film features the likes of Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum, and Victor Osuagwu, also known as ‘Awilo Sharp Sharp.’

“A Country Called Ghana” is a comic portrayal of the Ghanaian culture and resilience against Western influences.

LilWin takes on the role of an English interpreter navigating the complexities of a local community with limited education.
