LOS ANGELES, December 23: Fox Sports has expanded its global reach via a deal with satellite service Trend TV, which will begin offering the 24-hour sports channel to its subscribers in Nigeria and Ghana.

The channel, available on the basic programming tier, will feature Major League Baseball, NFL and the Super Bowl, Major League Soccer, the American and European PGA tours, boxing and other sporting events.

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 22, 2004-- Fox Sports today extended its boundaries into Africa, with paid satellite service Trend TV launching the 24-hour global sports channel for the first time in Nigeria and Ghana. Fox Sports has become part of Trend TV's basic programming tier in the aforementioned regions, meaning it will reach all of the service's current and future subscribers.

Fox Sports, as aired in Nigeria and Ghana, will feature four regular season Major League Baseball games per week, 22 regular season National Football League games, and two Scottish soccer games per week. The programming lineup will also include the NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl Championship game, Major League Soccer, top notch college basketball (SEC/ACC/PAC-10), the Champions World Tour, the National Hockey League, both the American and European PGA tours, ATP Tennis, Boxing, Auto Racing, extreme sports, track and field, and a wide variety of niche sports.
