Flash Mob Ghana for 2013 UDO World Dance Championship

Ghana’s spontaneous and versatile dance company, Flash Mob Ghana Ltd (FMG) are set to represent the country at the 2013 UDO World Street Dance Championship in Scotland later this month.

FMG makes it to the competition following a qualification from the regional competition in Africa.

Like its predecessors, the 8th edition of the annual contest will see A-list dance crews from around the world including Flash Mob Ghana who sets foot in the world acclaimed dance competition for the first time.

They will compete for honours with other groups from around the globe for the bragging right as the 2013 UDO World Street Dance Champions.

The competition has since its inception in 2002 witnessed a stiff competition among various dance crews from countries like South Africa, Germany, USA, Canada, France and Italy just to mention a few.

It is a 3-day event and will be held at the SECC Arena, Exhibition Way in Glasgow, Scotland between Friday, August 23 and Sunday, August 25, 2013. Aside the main event, there will be a variety of dance workshops, symposium and other competitions including solo, duo, quad, hip-hop battles etc.

For the first time in the history of the covetous world dance competition, organizers have announced that over 18 advanced team winners will get the opportunity to perform at the MOBO Awards.

UDO World Street Dance Championship is powered by United Dance Organization (UDO) Limited – Europe’s biggest street dance organization that stages and manages professional street dance and hip-hop competitions.

It is the singular plea of the C.E.O of FMG (Moses Frimpong) popularly known as Usher that Ghanaians support the crew in prayers to win the competition and raise high the flag of mother Ghana.
