There are fabrics that will remain a constant in the fashion scene, no matter the vogue. The African print is one of such fabrics. Today, imaginative designers are creating fabulous designs with the prints.

Unlike in the past when they were mainly used to make wrappers, long skirts and blouses for mostly adults, African prints are now used to create fashionable designs for all occasions and are worn by all.

What more, international designers use African-inspired prints to give an ‘ethnic’ touch to their designs. African prints come in different grades and the texture varies according to brand. They feature bold colours and playful prints though some come in subdued hues.

With the creative ways designers are churning out styles made with the prints, fashion insiders say African prints are in for a long reign.
