Talented and budding fashion designer Brigitte Merki-Ibrahim recently launched her Brigitte Merki (BM) label at a well attended all-white themed fashion show at the Accra Polo Club. Whether to a dinner, a wedding or for that girls night out in town, there is a Brigitte Merki attire for any occasion.

Patrons enjoyed fine wine and champagne as models from Exotic Models hit the runway to showcase the amazing collection. Founded in February 2010, Brigitte Merki speaks to all women who want to look glamorous, elegant, stunning and beautiful. Just like old Hollywood style of the 1920s, it is timeless. Its specialty is in evening wears and bridals. Brigitte Merki clothes are tailored to the individual’s measurements and style, whilst always considering the person’s body type, age and skin tone. The age range for the BM range is from 30 to matured elegance – the undoubtedly glamorous!

Brigitte Merki-Ibrahim embraces duality in her approach to fashion design. Born to a Swiss Ghanaian family, she encourages her design to straddle elements of traditional Ghanaian material, while also showcasing great influences by European fashion trends. Taking a connectional approach to fashion, she experiments with natural fibers like cane, seagrass, leaves, feathers etc. to create eclectic and spectacular designs, intricate hand sewn beading which enhances her fresh approach to her use of rich colourful European and African fabrics.

Brigitte Merki designs are always classy, timeless, wearable, tailored for the occasion and elegant. She celebrates feminine style without making it seem vulnerable; she is truly a woman’s designer due to her empowering designs.
