Chemphe and Alex join Cine Afrik Premieres to ‘Break the Rules’ this Saturday

Viewers of Cine Afrik’s weekly movie premiere show should get ready to be thrilled this weekend as two distinctive Ghanaian entertainers Chemphe and Alex Biney of Big Brother Amplified fame grace our studio for the premiere of the sequel to last week’s movie, “Breaking the Rules”.

The premiere of the first part of “Breaking the Rules” was exciting as actress Pascaline Edwards and Director of the movie, Kobby Rana joined host Adwoa Saah for an interesting chat about the movie.

At 7pm this Saturday February 4, two of Ghana’s hottest stars – Chemphe and Alex – will be in the studio to share their views on the story as it unfolds.

Son of a diplomat, the charismatic Alex Biney (Bomaye) had the privilege of travelling the world, and spending most of his life in the United States.

Having chanced upon the Big Brother Amplified reality show, Alex is currently involved in a new reality show dubbed 'I'm In Love with'.

The reality show is centred on Biney and his quest to find his African queen as 12 carefully selected women from some selected African countries compete to win his heart over a 13-week period.

With the help of viewers and friends, 'Bomaye' must select the right girl who will prefer him over the $20,000 cash prize at stake.

Henry Agyekum, popularly known as “Chemphe” is a Pop and R&B singer from Ghana who introduces his genre of music as Urban Life which mixes West African highlife with urban sound like rhythm & blues and pop. He is also a composer, making songs for people like Nana Fynn.

Chemphe means 'Okye ma ne ye fe' in Twi which translates as someone who distributes beautifully. True to his name, he seeks to benevolently give out good music to society.

Some of his popular songs are No Pampanaa, Tie m'asem, Yaa Mansa, Fear within, Menka and the single, One people, Chocolate in you, and many more.

This music talent is inspired about love, life and relationships. His debut album entitled 'No Pampanaa' was received very well by Ghanaians, who continue to grow in their taste in music.

'Why You Dey Treat Am Bad' is a reggae flavoured plea against domestic violence, an issue that is close to his heart. This song earned him several Ghana Music Award nominations including a win for Best Lyrics.

Chemphe is confident of scoring a mark on the entertainment scene and looks forward to the years which will see him representing Ghana worldwide with his brand of Urban Life music. His influences include R. Kelly, Craig David, Usher, Joe, Donnell Jones and Brain McKnight.

In the Part 2 of “Breaking the Rules”, we will witness the resulting effect when the sanctity of marriage has been debased and married women prefer their husband’s subordinates and the men their house helps. Suddenly, things go out of hand and someone was caught in the act.

Breaking The Rules depicts a modern day marriage, where only the tough, desperate and inconsiderate ones survive.
