Barclays holds grand Draw of Wheels of Surprise Promotion

Accra, Dec. 11, GNA - Barclays Bank Ghana says it will remain committed to meeting customer expectations through the offer of excellent banking services and products. Mr Benjamin Dabrah, Managing Director of Barclays Bank, said having been successful in opening new branches across the country in order to bring banking services closer to customers, the bank's next target would be to step up customer service.

"The future of the bank lies with our customers and we will not relent in our effort to bring world class service to customers. It is a process and I hope we shall get there," he told customers at the grand draw of "Wheels of Surprise Promotion" held in Accra on Thursday. The promotion was launched in July this year to reward loyal customers, promote savings culture and mobilise funds outside the banking sector.

Mr Dabrah said the promotion was successful because the target was achieved and it enabled the bank to channel resources to the productive sectors of the economy.

He gave the assurance that Barclays Bank would continue to introduce products and services that would not only make banking flexible but also add value to what they offer.

Over 110,000 entries were received from customers, who during the period of the promotion deposited GHC300. There were two initial draws in Kasoa and Berekum.

In the grand draw, Mr Abdul M.A. of Tamale won the first prize of a Jaguar car while Mr Yaya Lukman Mohammed and Mr Okoe Kudjo won a Plasma television set and an Accra-London-Accra ticket for the second and third prizes respectively,
