BBA Hotshots: Tanzania’s Laveda steals Africa’s heart in Talent show

With an awe-inspiring Saxophone performance, Laveda from Tanzania stole Africa’s heart in the opening night of the Big Brother Hotshots.

One of the new and interesting things Big Brother introduced into this year’s competition is having the competitors show Africa their unique gifts in a talent show.

All 26 hotshots showed Africa what they could offer in the Sunday October 5 launch, and Big Brother had the studio audience rate their performance by voting for them live.

Things got heated up on stage as Sabina from Kenya, JJ from Zimbabwe, Laveda from Tanzania, M’am Bea from Ghana, Lilian from Nigeria, and Arthur from Rwanda did not disappoint the audience who judged them as the top six of the pack.

Leading the scoreboard by 85.5% with a solo Sax performance that wowed the audience, Laveda was rewarded by Biggy with the title head of house for the first week of the competition.

This means the other 25 competitors are "up for nomination for possible eviction next week Sunday", according to Biggy.

The Hotshots will run for 63 days and the winner takes home the ultimate $300 000 prize.

“While in the house, they’ll party like A-listers, rub shoulders with celebrity guests and face formidable challenges – all while negotiating Biggy’s famous curve balls and twists”, organisers say.

Big Brother told the competitors he appreciated them taking up his challenge on the talent show.
