Kwame Obeng Asare, alias A Plus, a politician and showbiz pundit, has accused President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of forgetting how he struggled to become president with months to the end of his tenure.

In a rant on UTV over the weekend (April 27), A Plus described Akufo-Addo's election as a scam on the Ghanaian populace while admitting he was part of those that packaged the then-candidate Akufo-Addo as the best candidate in 2016.

In his long rant, he addressed several issues, touching on a recent viral video in which Akufo-Addo is captured demanding that some chiefs at a public event stand up to shake his hands.

In the 12-second video, the president is shown making his way to greet traditional leaders at what appears to be a funeral.

But in what should have been a routine activity, the president and one of his bodyguards are seen signalling to some chiefs to rise to their feet before he greets them.

"If you rely on Akufo-Addo, he would disappoint you. He is seeing out his term; he has scammed everyone. He begged for votes; today, he says chiefs should stand to greet him.

"He is done and is now sitting on a high horse without regard for anyone; he is done and has gone tone deaf with few months to the end of his tenure. He doesn't care whether you sleep in darkness or whatever," A Plus said on the show hosted by MzGee.

It is unclear where the president was and what event it was, but the video went viral on social media with others sharing instances where Akufo-Addo was captured greeting chiefs who were seated.
