Atta Mills returns to Central Region

Accra, Aug. 19, GNA - The leader and Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor John Evans Atta Mills, returns to his home region, Central Region, as he begins Phase Three of his tour of the area.

The tour will be anchored in the Assin North, Assin South, Asikuma/Odobeng/Brakwa and Abura/Asebu/Kwamankese constituencies where the NDC leader will be reaching out to the electorate with his "Better Ghana" agenda.

A statement issued from his Campaign Office signed by Koku Anyidoho, Head Communications, said he will roll out his "concrete plan of investing in people, creating jobs, infrastructure expansion, as well as being head of a team that shall lead, rather than rule Ghana, in an, open, transparent, honest, and truthful manner".

The statement said in order not to disturb the just-ended registration exercise, Professor Atta Mills placed his overt campaign on ice and conferred with groups on the quiet.

"The, very powerful/heart-touching, house-to-house, market-to-market, beach-to-beach, lorry park-to-lorry park, school-to-school, and community-to-community retail campaign of Professor Atta Mills resumes, and there is no turning back until certain victory comes the way of the NDC."

The statement said joining Professor John Evans Atta Mills on the tour would be Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, CEO of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Authority (CTO), and leading members of the NDC.
