It's unfortunate things hare gone this way. I believe this year IEA started on a wrong note. Initially it was going to be an encounter with only NPP n NDC political parties. Then PNC n PPP came on board. What prevented IEA from engaging all the political parties to reach a consensus before the program is launched. This is what you did in 2012 n it was a success. As to whether the NDC will communicate its decision to IEA is their discretion because this is the very issue it accused the IEA of. We building a democracy and so what concerns all must be approved by all. All parties with presidential candidates as well as independents must be involved in this to help Ghanaians currently undecided make their choices. Anything short of this will surely deprive voters the opportunity of knowing the candidates better. Let's avoid this confrontational posture of the stakeholders for the good of Ghana.

IEA should rather do what it takes to court all parties to participate in their debates in addition to those of other institutions instead of displaying arrogance because the IEA needs the political parties more that the parties need them. IEA should not be surprised if as a result of their arrogance, other parties also boycott them in future.
