Ghanaians are clever and have been seeking opportunities to enhance their banking needs and reduce their loan rates, if one has to take a loan.
The traditional banks are beginning to panic because of the telecoms intervention. The loan rate offered by telecoms are lower than the typical traditional banks.
Loans of a telecoms user are generally small. The traditional bank will subject a loan applicant to sometimes unnecessary paper work and outright rejection that it is not worth the hassle.
Telecoms money are hare to stay and I wish them to succeed and eventually force the traditional banking system to re-examine their banking practices.
