What is the sense in this call by MTN CEO? It is like Ghana Telecom back then crying foul against the GSM coming. The whole world over, telcos are making money from data. In the USA, I pay $20 for a whole month and I have enough data to do everything per month. In Ghana, I buy at least Ghc200 data and Ghc150 for voice. This is silly.
The MTN CEO is pushing for a wicked agenda. How could he compare Internet based calls to SIMBOX fraud? Don't we buy data from the telcos? His call is misleading and is Bourne out of greed and he thinks all Ghaians are naive.
He should I've us a break. We are not thieves by making Internet calls as he wants us to believe. MTN is greedy.

MTN CEO is dumb. With social media calls both the caller and the receiver pay for it inform of data usage. He can equally increase the price of data in competitive bases to make profit. I usually buy Ghc 10 data per month.

As a matter of fact Internet calls are not even stable and clear in Ghana compared to countries outside Ghana because the telecoms deliberately sabotage our calls. Instead of being innovative due to a drop in revenue he is proposing double taxation. You can't always eat your cake and have it. The fact is if a government continues over taxing it's citizen the end result is revolts and demonstrations. Communications have moved from voice to data and the user has a right to decide what to use their data for. So you better go back to school and study taxation. Are you really a CEO, who proposes to government to further tax your subscribers so that customers devise other means of communication and stop using your services. How do you stay in business and pay your workers. I don't know why MTN couldn't appoint any Innovative and smart intelligent CEO than you who is trying to team up with government to frustrate your customers. When you through a ball to the wall it will bounce back at you. Even taxation students will not propose such a policy. Instead of solving issued about data and airtime(crefit) loss band the customer you are rather making irrelevant and stupid suggestions seems you need to see a doctor to check you out.

The fact is these telecom companies are ripping us of through data losses and stealing our airtime(credit) and NCA fails and refuses to crack the whip by sanctioning them and fining them to bring sanity into their operation through regulations and monitoring them. Haruna Iddrisu Former Minister of Communication performed excellently and saved Ghana millions of dollars with some of the policies implemented. SIM-BOX fraud is linked to the telecoms that's why it's so hard for the issue to be completely resolved.
