You should have asked the Ministry of Trade for the real figure. In 2008 rice imports hit $400m per annum. The biggest rice local farm then was Aveyime Rice Ltd.

Useless advicers hanging around John Mahama. 60% of anything is something you can see. So $160 million the government have saved, right.
It is because people don't have jobs, no money to buy good imported Rice.
