Media will one day plug this country into civil war. Journalists are now behaving like irresponsible politicians who attack personality rather than substantive issues. That's cheap journalism.

Because they didn't attend to past outbreaks of communal violence with despatch, Bernard Mornah sees no reason why the national peace council should do so this time.

Kaleo, I don't think he said that peace council should not rush to the region to mediate for peace. My understanding of what he said is that the peace council should have done that in the past. Alternatively, that is what he expects them to do. In any case, the peace council is not above criticism.
As for the media the way they report issues is not helpful sometimes. Just take a look at the murder of the mp. They didn't wait for the police and the various media houses gave different stories. Some of them need more training in reportage.

I agree with you on most of your comments but I think Mornah is just being petty. He is making unnecessary insinuations against the Peace Council without providing a single instance. Such characters are also dangerous.

The question is did the Zongo youth commit the violence in the name of Islam? If they had issues with only the traditional authority, why did they destroy properties of people who had no stake in the matter including some churches? Bernard Mornah is a hypocrite and like his paymasters, he wants to play the religious card because he believes Muslims are very shallow. Imagine of a Christian group had attacked a mosque, what would have happened in this country? Let's be honest as a people.

Have you asked yourself why they vandalized some churches in the area? What was the crime of the churches? Or did the church buildings provoke them? When people make fools of themselves just be bold and tell the truth as it is. Nobody with prejudice if you don't give people the reasons to do so. Enough with the nonsense from these Zongo boys. We want progress, not primitives.

Morna's observation is spot on. I have also always wondered why some of these presenters do not feel comfortable whenever some one start to enimirate those development projects that are going on around the country. They allow ample time for pannelists who complain that though the government has borrowed so much money, they do not see what use the money has been put. Sefa-Kai's Kokrokoo and KABA's EKOSII SEN are the greatest ofenders in this instance.
I'd like to commend the presenter of News File for making sure he prepares very well before taking his Seat on the programme. This becomes evident in the way he has absolute control and authority unlike the others who usually on their programme very poorly prepared.
