Let's be realistic to say that nothing is free or cheap, nowadays in the world, if the producer(s)of the commodity which is consumed is on commercial basis. The minister was right to prepare the minds of Ghanaians that cheap electricity is a thing of the past. It's politically dangerous to let Ghanaians perceive the charges will be 'consumed' by the state and later find themselves paying higher tariff for the electricity they use. Is the PURC official making us anticipate that her outfit will recommend a tariff which Ghanaians, whether in employment or not, will have the wherewithal to meet their electricity consumption?
