WHAT BILL AND BELINDA GATES ARE DOING IN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN DISEASES, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IS THE KEY IN UNLOCKING THE FUTURE FOR CURRENT FUTURE GENERATIONS. DRIVING MOST EXPENSIVE CARS, LARGER HOMES IS MEANINGLESS IS SEGMENT OF THE POPULATION STILL SUFFERS FROM LACK OF BASIC WATER, SANITATION, FOOD, CLOTHING, SHELTER, EDUCATION AND FILTHES. WHILES A NATION SUCH AS GHANA CANNOT PRODUCE OR MANUFACTURE COMMON BASIC STILL DEPENDS ON IMPORTS AS WELL AS STILL EXPORT RAW MATERIALS WHICH FOR THE LAST FIFTY YEARS IS BEEN NORM NORM THEN YOU ASK YOURSELF WHO ARE THESE SO CALL LEADERS AS WELL AS WHO VOTE THESE LEADERS VERY SAD INDEED.

I agree with you. We're devoid of constructive ideas & all we do is export raw commodities without adding value & politicians enrich themselves out of it. GNPC's involvement is my concern - it lacks transparency.

The challenge now is for us to take over the duties of the land. We allow wrong people to lead us why we sit down and complain. We sometimes compare lifestyle to development. Most Africans lifestyles are rural and it will take only education to unlock it if we want all Africans to behave like white countries.

Mining built South Africa. Obuasi is still shanty, tribalism against mining dominated region had shown these town underdeveloped. Roads from Kumasi to Obuasi is a messy, Bogoso to Dunkwaw is still poor. Tarkwa is another mess up town with polution and environmental issues. Those who steered the affairs of the nation during the gold boom have not seen their region developed either. Volta region still remains poor and undeveloped. Yet they don't see any lights due lack of vision.
