I agree with Justice Emile Short that the language used by GBA was inappropriate but at the same time, it is true that Afari Gyan's credibility was dented and the image of the Electoral Commission tarnished by what was revealed at the SC Presidential Petition hearing. If Afari Gyan could not define over-voting then why is he the Electoral Commissioner?
The GBA erred to have suggested the appointment of a new EC in advance when the existing one retires in 2015. That is against the constitution and it's sad that those who should be defending the constitution sought to undermine it. I hope they have learnt a lesson from this misguided and uncalled action.

But for NPP to try push in their EQUALIZATION AGENDA, government and and those being maligned had to come out forcefully to debunk the misinformation and set the records straight.
We know of some people who merely hid behind empty threats and the use of some lawyers to douse /raise their sunken image and shame when their deals were found out.

People have pointed out where this lady lives, the cars she drives, and the people who she moves with. I bet some people may have spotted this girl entering the Mahama's residence at odd hours several times. So how can the president of Ghana come out and tell us lies about this lady?
We still do not know how many passports this lady showed at Heathrow, or how many names were in those passports. The government continues to complicate the issues by introducing various distractions along the way! The arrest of those media men were unnecessary, and only showed how involved the government are in this saga. Then a whole High Commission was instructed to visit the lady in jail, even though the same government insists this woman was not travelling on her Ghanaian passport. This passport saga was, in fact, an attempt to dispel rumours about the woman travelling with a diplomatic passport. And this has exposed the stupidity of the High Commission's involvement. One may ask: "How many such drug traffickers have been visited in police cells by the High Commission whilst the case is still under investigation?"
When the government behaves so badly, they allow people with sharp minds to make up their minds. Then the government foolishly resorts to the security forces to try to silence the truth! No way! The truth will always prevail!!

Sadly, the political will is not there as stated by Citizen Vigilante Martin Alamisi Benz Kaiser Amidu, the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice. It would be recalled that Citizen Vigilante has been at the forefront ensuring that the Mahama NDC gov't does right by the people, which has necessitated alleged attempts on his life.
The NDC drug trade is dirty, is murky and it goes very deep, and Ghana is a goner for it. The NDC party has turned the country into cocaine coast and it's a travesty.

Mass burial for the dead the dead women. Whilst the dead bodies were lying on the streets women were demonstrating that women are being killed for rituals. The ndc became unpopular. The beneficiary is the Npp.
Now the Npp are changing their game plan. They want to tag the ndc as cocaine party so as to equalise the cocaine tag worn by the Npp. Kyeremanteng agyarko on Tuesday or thereabouts said they are going to expose the ndc for drug dealing. Is it then,just a coincidence for Frances essiam to dare the president to deny the lady at the centre of the coke saga? The Npp want power and by fair or foul means they are going to take it. For now l think the Npp strategy is working.
