This is what needs to happened in ghana for things to change.
Consult Martin Skankar of Norway, a fund manager.
A percentage of all revenues from oil, gold, cocoa etc MUST be deposited into a ghana sovereign fund and invested all over the world by the best investment brains. This money will not be touched by any government, ever! Infact, the revenues accrued from this investment will be used to fund pension, healthcare, education, infrastructural projects, roads etc in Ghana.
DON'T Invest in: What companies produce and how they are produced e.g don't invest in nuclear/chemical weapons, tobacco, companies like walmart(humanitarian clauses)
Norway has pretty much built their economy from the oil they have. Their sovereign fund is the largest national 401k in the world!
"Bad Aid" by Dambisa Moyo
thats the only reason behind these loans from imf. the Ghana govt artificially create the monetary and economic conditions in Ghana that we need the loans. They dilute the numbers. they dont care about the future repercussions or interest rate to ghana. once the multinational loans are issued, they jump.for joy like daycare kiddies, aben wo ha, our day niggas! some.sod cuts for show and presumed contracts are signed but the jobs will never see the light of day!
Corruption, Mismanagement and public sector inertia, redtape is the cause for all this mess and imf fuckers! We have no one to blame but us and no one will ditch us out. If your own family won't ditch you out of a grave. What do you expect from imf? Until we can find a solution to those issues listed. These corrupt politicians who steal don't even reinvest their stolen monies back in ghana. That's why ghana is suffering! Who are you waiting for to bring money into ghana? Remittances from "burgers" or imf dollars? Like my Oldman always use to say "you have a llooonnngggg way to.go"! Believe nothing you hear and 1/2 of what you see!!!

Mahama, you forgot to tell the international investors that we need more toilets and, therefore, they must make that a PRIORITY, too.

I am not living in Ghana and I have no vote as my present situation dictates though I do support a party as every body does. Please allow me to make one thing clear to the honourable citizens of Ghana. That, not withstanding their political affiliations, they should look at the bigger picture (Ghana) and not the fragmented smaller ones (regionals) and choose their leaders with competence as the yardstick and not tribal, ethnic or sectorian inclinations or leanings. It would have been preferable if the executive arm of government is elected from among the productive and visionary brains of every region and the MPs elected as usual through party nominations. What a country would we all be in! But here we are, where the winner takes all and not only that, not even the brainy wasting idly in the opposition party would be willing to contribute to the success of the governing party just because the only way to seize power is to see things go wrong. This brings into sharp perspective, the merit of UNIGOV. The Beauty of it All would have been.....I leave readers to cogitate about this
