Common sense, is not common to all. Those who have it, like Dan Botwe, know, 736 voters don't choose a flagbearer for NPP. 141000 mass delegates do. You cant fool Alan to quit because pro-Nana dominated party elders, council members, constituency chairmen, and old Guard MPs voted in a meaningless exercise to reduce the number of aspirants from 7 to 5. Alan is in it to win. You all thought Nana was going to win overwhelmingly in Tamale. Remember The mass delegate voters do not owe any allegiance to Akuffo, unlike the super delegates group dominated by the stomach politicians like the old guys and MPs.
Only narrow-minded folks think this thing is over. The voices of 141000 delegates will overwhelm that of the one-sided super delegates. Since when did the results of a mock exam were seen in the same light as the actual one.

This an outrageous thrashing, and almost infantile for NPP members to be so monolithic, so immature, so biased and so mindless, so robotic to cast their votes overwhelmingly for a loser. Even if Nana Addo had won 50% of the votes, and the remaining 4 split the other 50% votes, one would take this party seriously, but the disparity simply illustrates our ethnic, tribal and primitive instincts. Nana Addo will loose to NDC(Mahama) simply because the rest of the non-NPP Ghanaians outnumber all those who will vote for Nana Addo, just for other reasons but educated electorate. Mahama is a novice and really lacks respect and authority from his peers, however by 2016, he would be a more seasoned leader than Nana Addo. Simply put, neither of them can make the dynamic transformation Ghana needs. Perhaps I should say, "From Fire back into the Frying Pan?"

Ghanaians need Nana Akuffo Addo for only one thing, to enforce the laws of the country, in order to strengthen the democratic institutions of Ghana. He is the last hope, and if he succeeds Ghana and Ghanaians shall be economically, politically and socially free forever. This is what Jerry Rawlings started but fell to the dictates of the African corruption cancer, because he was poor, but Nana Akuffo Addo is not, because he's been tried and tested, and the only person who believes in the rule of law in Ghana, among a few others. Nana, this is your moment, go for it.

Akuffo Addo has a long experience with failure. Not new, Abraham Lincoln failed many times before finally getting to be president. It's Addo's time to be president. I am NDC, but we will give Addo the chance. We believe he has been weaned of the vengeance streak in him - wanted to kill everyone if he became president. The Rawlingses, etc. Imagine what chaos he would have brought Ghana he had become president in the 1990s or 2000s. Now he is ok...older...more sensible. Besides the world has moved on from those kinds of things. Alan, just keep trying. Addo stayed in Ghana all the time. You run to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to the Economic Commission for Africa. Stay home and cut your teeth properly.

In this way, he would be view favorably by Nana Akuffo Addo, and he would count on Alan. Should Alan continue to the next election, he would be seen as a spoiler. Why? He couldn't even get 10% of the Super delegates votes. He shd save his money if he is smart. If he is being sponsored by NDC and Ibrahim Mahama as most people believe, then of course his masters will urge him on.That aint worth it.The fact of the matter is that, Ghana is crying for Nana Akuffo Addo.We don't want another John Mahama. Besides that, the present state in Ghana, I REPEAT, apart from the late Victor Owusu, the next person who has the quality to handle the present state of affairs is Nana Akuffo Addo. Former president Kuffour would not be able to handle Ghana today.Nana was born for a period such as this.

I mean, since when have Dan Botwe and others in top leadership positions within the NPP, demonstrated a belief in true internal party democracy?
have all these members of the Akufo Addo cabal not leaned heavily on Alan and others to allow Nana to go through unopposed, and wait their turn? In fact, has it not been the case that they have spearheaded 'reforms' only to balk against them, when it suited their purposes? Why have party notables such as Kwame Pianim,Nyaho Tamakloe,Tarzan,Art Kennedy, just to mention a few, been turned into pariahs within an organization which believes so much in democracy? People like Folks like Alan,Addai Nimoh Apraku, who looked on unperturbed, and allowed the Nana cabal to entrench itself in power, and then agreed to operate from behind the 'eight ball', should lick their wounds and quietly make way for the 'contrived outcome' to manifest itself! Of course, those from among the
choir, will always choose to ignore the small but significant broad appeal chalked up by a 'virtual unknown' like an Addai Nimo, who may hold the key to the future success of this Elephant Party!

I will be disappointed if Alan drops out, he must go the full stretch. Those hurring him to let Akkuffo Addo go are the people who were around in the last two selection of leaders who leveraged on him. The other delegates should not be denied the historic selection of a leader. It is rather surprising that rules and principles are being let to the dogs to get Nana Addo selected. First he nana historically opined that two strikes and you are out yet he say that those not included me. Next the rule in the party is that if the contestants are more than seven then a special congress should prune it to five. Did the rule talk about margins or percentages? What if this mass of delegates are pro Nana? Had it been Nana who had such showing at the special delegates would he have thrown in the towel? Every body knows he would have fought to the end, why deny others, why? Nana's supporters alone can never win any election in Ghana so they should be circumspect in their actions now, either should they think they can woe the supporters of Alan with sugar coated speeches because already a perceived Alan man T the HQ has been beaten by known Nana supporters a leading to him being admitted to the hospital. If you deny this fact you are deluding yourself, do you think you can win such a person's vote easily? NDC has shown it is no mean voting organization and evidence shows that the margins of swing are slim, every vote counts. Do not behave, if you are in the Nana camp, as if come tomorrow you can heal all wounds your actions are causing. If you love Nana allow the race and process to be completed and allow the vanquished to accept defeat graciously. Nana ADDO please take sir john off your front line, he does more damage to you than any NDC man can inflict.

Where were you elders when Ohene-Ntow overstepped the mark all over the place and allowed cashmetics to lead him to say untrue and demeaning things about Nana Addo, although he ought to have realised -- or been told by you elders -- that the NDC was listening and in case Nana Addo won the race to be flag-bearer, the NDC would use some of the nonsense against him that was emanating from within his "own ranks"? Why haven't you and the other elders taught people like that enough strategy to realise that there is a difference between intra-party contesting and contesting between real opponments??
You guys must realise that not to talk is sometimes worse than talking. You watched these idiots tearing the party apart, but now that the worthy party delegates have had their say, you suddenly realise that some people might be forced out of the race? If they had fought the race correctly, they would not feel any disgrace and ipso facto, they would continue. Because a tace must be run and someone must win that race. You don't rubbish a fellow runner when the race has not yet ended. They have erred against the party and they must be told in no uncertain terms that the party does not wish to face issues like that ever again. I doff my hat to Nana Addo for staying the course, despite the provocations along the route. Ayikoo, Nana. Mo Adom!

Politics is a very cruel occupation especially when you can see the haul but are forced to look in from the outside because of your own doing. Ask the Mahama/Aseidu gang. ALAN ALL THE WAY, HE IS THE MAN FOR THE FLOATING VOTERS. THE SUPER DELIGATES CAN EVEN GIVE HIM 1,000,000,000% but the final power lies in the hands of we the floating voters in Dec. 2016.
NPP & independent observers are advising Alan and the other three contestants to drop out BECAUSE it is obvious that Nana commands 'uncatchable' lead over them, even collectively.
Who are the 'independents'? How many known Alan supporters have advised same. Stop this hypocrisy, it will hurt in the long run.
