Is it our educational system or what? It looks like most did not understand the article. If they could not understand this simple article, how could they be productive to their companies and the Country?
They just saw "approved by NPP" and boom, just like the originator of the Jerry Stupid School (JSS), they began to shoot from their hips without thinking through the article.
There are 3 serious cases here:
1- Lawyers and people, like Lithur who have found ways to dupe the Country by using judgement debts.
2- Our law makers who can't think or have no analytical skills to think through matters and ask questions before approving deals.
3- Dubious Judges who will collude with lawyers and people to cheat on Ghana and receive their part of "create, loot and share.'
These are serious matters that every citizen of the country should weep for the country because with these two problems, Ghana will never develop. The educated elites in Ghana have no morals and continue to 'sink' Ghana the more.
Here is the case, some Lawyers know that we have clueless Ministers and MPs and therefore they are able to bring any case against Ghana and will win because there are judges who are ready to be on their side. Therefore, these lawyers try to find people or foreigners to dupe the country just like Lithur did with Woyome and Waterville and Isofoton and many others.
So in this case, a lawyer probably came with the idea and try to find his crime partners - the people of Volta. And NPP that did not want to 'look bad' in the sight of our EWE brothers decided to help these Voltarians without any due diligence. So YES, the cabinet was wrong to approve this amount to the 're-settlers' but why would these VOLTARIANS be so devious to go to the government to 'steal' our money?
Just imagine what others would be saying, if a group of people from the Region, 'we-love-to-hate-them' have done this because of Owabi and Barekese dams.

Yeah, Abban & Co need to be condemned, but I don't think that they are the ones that led them to the Cabinet. I still believe that a Lawyer led them to the Cabinet. So your position on the subject does not defer from my position. The fact that you did not see the name of the lawyer who led them does not make my assessment wrong.
I am dealing with the whole picture and what our educated elites are doing to our Nation. Get my drift?

Nyansasem, I think you have a problem with lithur. let me put it on record that lithur did not lead anybody to collect judgment debt in any court. lithur was a lawyer to Waterville at the time Waterville was working on the stadia project for can 2008. Waterville winded up their activities and left and that was the end of Lithur and Waterville. when they came back to collect their dubious judgment debt, lithur was no more their lawyer. I believe u know that its no crime to be a lawyer.

Nyansasem, stop displaying your ignorance here. Is this the first time that under NPP people who have no titles to lands and businesses had been paid money through fraudulent means without any documentation?. Now thanks to the Judgement Debt Commission sittings, the magnitude of stealing under the NPP is being revealed. I can bet my last pesawa that it was NPP lawyers, who devised these dubious methods to defraud the state of Ghana. Come again, even at a time they lost the election and about to leave the scene they still connived with economic saboteurs to loot our coffers. NPP is without doubt a bunch of nation wreckers without any bit of conscience but continue to display the audacity to sing Woyome. Hypocrites!!

Cabinet was not wrong to approve the amount of compensation. What was wrong was the fraud that was perpetrated by individuals to divert the money to themselves instead of paying it to the right people. the question to ask is, How come as soon as a new govt (NDC) comes in, suddenly the rightful people are robbed of their money and it is fraudulently shared amongst people who have no right to claim this money.

A government should be there to take care of a nation they said they could manage. If so why should the NPP government under Kufour who had been described by the NPP supporters as gentleman agreed to the dubious demand made by the people in question?
On normal basis a gentleman is a morally minded fellow who should not agree to align with the Volta Basin people to cheat our nation, as long as truth was not found in their demands.
This is part of the REASONS why Ghana went through all this mess we sit in today, as we are confused and only hoping to find an escape goat as the cause of all our national problems. Our nation's problem was not only caused by a president, nor a minister but by every person in some position in Ghana, in one way or the other as we do not have love for our nation.
It is highly unacceptable as we continue to enslave our minds with this primitive retrogressive nature that helps no nation to develop. This proves that we are all cheap minded people who can use any means to rob the nation given us by God and create problems for ourselves with wicked minds of trying to pick one and present him as the overall cause of our national problem, as it is today been used politically to pinpoint Mahama as the sole cause of all our problems.
This ought to be stopped if we really want to move our nation forward so that our children will have a better future just like it has been set up for the children in Europe and other developed nations.
What we need now is a leader who can go far with his leadership; without giving in to tribal sentiments, politics, nepotism etc so that he can help bring the nation in line to the rules of development.
By the way we have to be aware also that the Ghanaian democracy makes an elected government weak when it comes to the implementing of practical policies in certain areas since the population becomes angry when government moves to apply the laws of the land.
In arresting this awful situation of ours there is a need that we all change our mindsets towards nation building and developments of our society.

Krachiwura Nana Mprah Besemuna III a clever ex-Regional Police Commander was the brain behind this fraudulent deal hatched with Kwadwo Abban & Co Chartered Surveyors and public officials at the Lands Valuation Division/Lands Commission. They even set up a "FUND" where 15% of the GHc 138 million was to be paid to the FUND chaired by Krachiwura with one Nana Diawuo Bediako II and G.S.K Sasu as signatories to be used as slash funds to pay bribes to public servants to ensure payment of the GHc 138 million by GoG. 15% of GHc 71 million (nearly GHC 10.5 million) of the total GHc 138 million that the GoG has paid so far has been paid in to this FUND controlled by the Krachiwura and his gang of three for paying bribes to public servants and even judges when their dubious deals are challeged by ordinary citizens of the area affected in the Courts. The NPP cabinet depended on the responsible Govt. agency (Lands Valuation Division) for technical advice and therefore, had no choice but to approve the payment based on the report by the corrupt public servants at the Lands Valuation Division of the Lands Commission.
