If the above statement regarding gas supply and demand for generating electricity in the country is correct, then 'Dumso, dumso, dumso' will repeat, even if NPP, as people anticipate, come to power. In that case, Mahama administration would have fared better, because there was no 120 million standard cubic feet of gas available to it from the Atuabo plant for electricity generation during that period of its tenure. Well, we await, anxiously, to see how the media will make of it when this happen.

@Kofi Ellis, what an intelligent explanations! Nigeria is supplying Ghana gas even when the total domestic consumption in Nigeria is not met. In addition, we pay Ghana about $35 oer barrel to buy fuel should Nigeria default. Thanks Dear Ellis for this insight and your commendation of the efforts of Nigeria on Ghana. However, you didnt state it takes years before Ghana pay Nigeria for the gas supply. This is what you should let your Country men and women know, especially those who hate us out of jealousy. Nigeria has always supported Ghana in many ramifications and the least we expect from Ghanaians is to acknowledge our assistance.

As for this your take on "Ghanaian jealousy" and "Nigeria always supporting Ghana" - thank you... but I think your national pride is overstating the reality of the Ghana-Nigeria interactions of old. There is a lot we are NOT thankful for, and sadly, this failure on the part of Nigeria to supply gas is yet another one.

How many times have we had revenue shortfalls or simply gone over budget on Bui, or taking 1+ year over initial deadlines on gas project.
It's as if our governments are only good at failing to plan. Just once, I'd like to read about Ghana actually doing something right... just once

But seriously, Ghana should exercise some patience as the current strategies and options is capable of delivering near adequate gas in the short term.
